Our Philosophy
We hope to inspire the next generation of mavericks. Instilling curiosity, kindness, and confidence.

Mini Mavericks is committed to 100% outdoor class time. We believe complete nature immersion, unstructured learning, child-inspired learnings, inquiry-based teaching style, and creative play are all vital for children's development.

Lesson plans flow organically each day. Lessons are based on the children's current interests as well as what nature presents. Our teachers strive to be immersed in the children’s sense of awe and wonder about nature. The teachers’ role is a mentor and guide, actively modeling curiosity and engagement in nature while allowing children’s interests to lead the day.

We believe that children have an innate desire to spend a large amount of their day outdoors to get the stimulation their developing minds and bodies need. We believe hands-on experiential learning is the best form of childhood education. When children are encouraged to play outdoors, it increases creativity, balance, imagination, hand-eye coordination, strength, physical stamina, and clear thoughts. When children’s natural curiosity is encouraged, learning flows organically!
